Antonio Candreva "IL TIMIDO"
Candreva was born in Rome. He began his football career at local club Lodigiani, but soon he was transfered in Serie C1 team Ternana in 2003. He played their several games, when team was promoted to Serie B in 2004. Ternana relegated back to Serie C1 and in the following season Antonio played regularly and attracted the interest of several Serie A clubs.
In 2007 Antonio was signed by Serie A club Udinese and played for primavera team. He didn't play much for the first team.
In 2008 Antonio was loaned out to Serie B team Livorno, where he helped them for promotion to Serie A, that's why Livorno extended loan for one more year.
He played very well in Serie A, with Livorno and attracted attention from Serie A giant Juventus. They took him on loan for half of the season in January 2010, having an option to buy half of his contract from Udinese. He played normally for his new team, but he was given back to Udinese.
In the summer 2010, Antonio was again loaned, but now in Parma, where he was in the shadow and returned again in Udinese.
In the summer 2011, Cesena took him on loan, where Antonio played very strongly and in January 2012 Lazio took him on loan. Lazio fans were not happy, cause when he was playing in Juventus, he once said that he was supporting Roma in childhood, that's why in his first game for Lazio, fans booed him. He scored first goal for Lazio against Napoli and ran to Curva Nord and celebrated with them. It was very good gesture from Antonio and he was finally praised by Lazio fans. At the end of the season Antonio renewed his loan deal with Lazio for one more year + Lazio could buy him in the end of the season.
Season 2012-13 was great for Antonio, cause he found himself in Lazio, where he was playing very strongly, being one of Lazio's best performers and soon was 100% accepted by fans in the family of Lazio. On may 26, 2013 he won his first trophy "Coppa Italia" in a historic derby against city rivals of Rome for 1:0
In the summer 2013 Lazio excised the option to buy Candreva and made 4-year contract with him.
Playing very well in Lazio, it helped him to re-join national team and become the best winger there too. He scored his first goal for national team against Croatia.
New season 2014-15 began for Antonio very well, he scored 2 goals and made 7 assists. He's the best assist-man for now in Serie A and the best player in Lazio.
Candreva won the hearts of Laziales and became the idol and hero for Lazio. Nobody thought that he had chances to be here, but he proved that he deserves to be here and It's not far, that one day he'll be wearing cap's arm-band.
